February 2021 BigTime Release

february-2021-bigtime-release

Rolling into the second month of 2021 and there is no slowing down at BigTime. This month we are introducing two integrations with Hubspot and Azure Active Directory for Single Sign-On (SSO), as well as improvements to our Jira integration, released last month.

Integrations will continue to be a top priority throughout the year. We know that as your business changes, so do your needs and we want to ensure that BigTime is integrated with all the tools you use at each stage of your growth. In addition to ensuring we created a growth-focused ecosystem, we’ve made improvements across our entire portfolio. This February release includes updates on our core solution, BigTime Wallet, and reporting.

Partner Ecosystem: Integrations

We’re proud to share with you our latest integration with the market-leading CRM tool, Hubspot. Similar to our integration with Salesforce, users that are looking to manage their sales and marketing funnels in a CRM tool can now choose which stage those projects flow directly into BigTime. This eliminates the need to double enter projects in two systems, instead, projects get started the minute they hit your preferred stage.

The Hubspot integration allows you to pull over all the important details of the project including client information, project name, project status, contacts, and start date.

This month we also created the Microsoft Azure SSO integration. BigTime firms now have the option to enable SSO using their Microsoft Azure Active Directory credentials. Users get a seamless experience by no longer having to enter a BigTime username and password, simply enable, confirm and users in your firm will be authenticated. The seamless experience and one less login to remember will make leveraging BigTime even easier.

After our January release, we also made substantial enhancements to our Jira Integration.  Jira users leverage features within the platform that are extremely helpful to a project manager but often go unseen by the rest of the team. Not anymore!

This month’s updates include:

  • Ability to select which projects you want to integrate with BigTime that already exist in Jira
  • Option to import the hours estimate from Jira (While Jira may capture this in days, BigTime will convert them to hours to ensure accurate reporting)
  • Import due dates from the Jira story
  • Auto syncing of work logs to automatically import into a staffer’s timesheet

Core Solution

Every conversation we have with customers helps us think of new ways to enhance features and improve the experience for our end users. This month we added two new features to help customers get exactly what they need out of BigTime invoicing.

Options to show tax amounts on different lines within an invoice
Firms that use tax groups on their invoices now have the option to display the rates separately on their invoice printout to provide clearer detail and representation of each tax group.

Net expense to invoice PDF
For customers that elect to bill their clients for the net amount of an expense, users can select “net amount” to be added to the expense detail of the invoice PDF.

BigTime Wallet

The goal of BigTime Wallet is to make paying invoices faster and more convenient for both you and your clients. In this release, we focused on BigTime Wallet enhancements that directly benefit your clients, with the ability to download their receipt immediately following payment. Additionally, your clients will receive an email with the details of their payment, to keep for their records.

Reporting

Data is power and the more we can provide insights the quicker you can react. The following features are all about adding clarity and additional details to our reporting for even smarter decision-making.

Free time reports: main team role added
A staffer’s main team role (or their default role) that is set on their staff profile has been added to our free time reports.

Expense reports: vendor bill paid status
If a bill has been paid in QuickBooks, a green checkmark displays on the post vendor bill screen. This field has now been added to the expense type reports providing you additional insights into the status of a bill in different reports.
