The efficiency of BigTime comes down to how easy it is to use. We’ve dedicated this release to improving our user experience, and we’re excited to share with you several new enhancements, to make your work easier than ever.
Some of our biggest release highlights include furthering the customization options of our Invoicing feature, with the ability to add image attachments to an invoice, a variety of templates for different logos, along with improved editing options.
There’s so much more to share, with updates to our project management solution, to reporting, and to the way you track capacity.

Attach images to an invoice
Supporting documentation, like receipts, can be a useful reference for clients when sending an invoice. Now, in addition to attaching PDFs, BigTime supports attaching JPG, GIF, BMP, and PNG files. No more need to convert or check file formats; simply attach and send.
Create a one-page, single-line-item summary on your invoice
When you select details to include on your invoice, there is now the option to Show summary only. This is ideal for retainer and fix-monthly billings. The Summary feature will automatically create a one-page invoice with the total amount due and the invoice note, to speed up the time it takes to create the invoice, and to skip filtering out the fields you don’t need.
Recreate an invoice
Have you ever started drafting an invoicing and realized you’ve made a few mistakes? Instead of deleting the invoice and starting from scratch, you can use the Recreate feature. It’ll direct you back to the Invoice Wizard, where you can make changes to invoice details, such as a date range and subtotal settings.
Upload a logo to an invoice template
To customize your invoices one step further, you now have the option to replace your firm’s default logo on the invoice temple with another logo/image you choose. This is great for companies with multiple divisions/locations or branches under a parent company, where each has its own logo. Now, you can have a template for every sector of your business, with the appropriate logo––rather than a universal logo, for all.
Print an invoice with attached documents
For those who still benefit from printing invoices for review or to mail, you can now print an invoice that includes the attached documents. This makes it easier to access and keep track of the complete invoice, including the supporting documents.
Bulk copy tasks to multiple projects
The Task Workflow dashboard now lets you copy one or more tasks to multiple projects, all at once. This is useful when you have related projects with similar tasks. Instead of creating a bunch of new tasks for each project, you can simply copy them. This will save you a lot of time and prevents repetitive data entry.
View all the submitted time for a staffer in Timesheet History
Previously, our Timesheet History dashboard allowed you to view time entries by week, month, quarter, or year. Now you have the option to display all time at once, to view, to edit, or delete, instead of having to view a report by a staffer or click through different date ranges.
Exclude holidays from capacity
Admins can specify holiday dates for your firm under My Company Settings. These dates will be excluded from capacity numbers, to give you a clearer picture while planning, and to make it easier to correctly assign project tasks and due dates.
Reporting updates and features
Last but not least, we’ve made several improvements to our reporting capabilities, so you can easily access the information in the way that’s most helpful.
These updates include:
- See which team(s) a staffer is assigned to on the Staff List-type report.
- Staff Team field added to project-, task-, allocation-, and transaction-type reports.
- View the Realization by a specific date range on project-type reports.
- Customize your report to open to the current or previous week, month, or year. You can also set a default date range. This setting is located in the Edit Report settings.
- Restrict reports by the team lead, to only show the jobs for that specific team lead.
