In January we pledged to hit the ground running, and we did with enhancements to project oversight, resource management, invoicing, payments, data, and analytics. We also got a new look and feel back in October.
As we get ready to lap another year around the PSA software track, we wanted to reflect on our efforts to create a product experience that allows you to drive the pace of your PSA software, not the other way around. Since a mile takes 4 laps around the track, we’ve compiled our top 4 product enhancements to the BigTime platform. We’ve also added an extra special shout-out to turn this into BigTime’s top 5 features and enhancements of 2023!
#1 Project Oversight
Best of 2023: Compare allocated hours to input hours in a side-by-side view.
Easily view your allocated hours alongside input hours within the allocation editor. With a single click, you can enable the “show actuals” option to display actuals in smaller text next to the allocated hours in a larger text format.
Runner-up: Easier control of timesheet lock and grace periods.
This December we made it more intuitive for you to configure the lock function as well as the grace period for all timesheet submissions. It’s easier to configure and more straightforward for your staff to understand when the next timesheet submission is due.
#2 Resource Management
Best of 2023: Enhanced search capabilities on your planning and utilization boards.
Finding what you need is easier than ever. Our improved search functionality on both the planning board and utilization board enables you to locate specific staff members or projects effortlessly, streamlining your planning and resource allocation.
Runner-up: Beta release of advanced resource management.
Following BigTime’s July acquisition of Primetric, we’re thrilled that our forthcoming advanced resource management solution went into beta in October. Our advanced resource management capabilities will empower you to plan strategically, anticipate resource demands, optimize utilization, enhance resource matching, and access vital insights. We’re working with a select group of customers to shape its development. Stay tuned. GA release is currently planned for Q1!

#3 Invoicing & Payments
Best of 2023: Simplified payments with AutoPay in BigTime Wallet.
We’re excited to introduce AutoPay as part of BigTime Wallet. Powered by our new partnership with BlueSnap, AutoPay allows your clients to save payment information and you to streamline payment processes. This means you can reduce administrative tasks and help your clients make secure transactions quickly and effortlessly — getting you paid faster, reducing A/R balances, and accelerating cash flow.
Runner-up: Refresh invoice drafts with newly approved time and expenses.
Gone are the days of deleting and recreating T&M invoice drafts to keep them up to date. Instead, you can now refresh invoice drafts to include new changes to the existing invoice.
You have complete control over which date range to draw new changes or charges from, and whether to include all submitted time and expenses, or only approved time and expenses.
#4 Data & Analytics
Best of 2023: Data filters for dashboard tiles.
We’ve introduced data filters for each individual dashboard tile, allowing you to narrow your dataset, focus on specific aspects of your data, and present key information more precisely based on your criteria. Simply click the three dots in the top right corner of any dashboard tile to access your filtering options.
Runner-up: New report center experience.
Getting the insights you need just got easier, and never looked so good. Continuing our updated UI rollouts, we’ve refreshed the user interface and enhanced the search functionality within the report center. Search existing reports quickly, understand report details with hover-over descriptions, and gain more control and flexibility by creating custom report categories and enhanced report-sharing capabilities.
